The Folts Residence is an interior Austin contemporary home. The design of this home employs layering and screening of facades to define space and depth. Using landscape walls, fencing, and planting, we developed a layered composition to define exterior space and provide hierarchy to the entry sequence. Through the explorations of material, transparency, and height, we challenged the traditional conventions of fence and border, softening the transition between public and private spaces.
