Overall development site plan.

Madrone Canyon is a residential development project in Bee Cave, Texas. The main concept of the project design was to call attention to the incredible Hill Country views and the beautiful natural context that the site sits within. LSI was tasked to develop entry signage and a mail pick up area, roadway landscape design schemes, a community trail system and park, and a hill top pavilion with sweeping vistas of the property.

The entry monument signage design pays homage to the existing hills and canyons around it with an angular forms and a rustic material palette of weathered steel and stained concrete. The Texas native plant material, along the roadways and in the community spaces, blends the edges of the built and natural environment in order to tie the areas of human intervention with the existing landscape that surrounds. A simple yet elegant pavilion placed a top a hill at the North end of the property allows for users to gather and appreciate the landscape in a comfortable and modern space.
